Leveraging Test and Simulation to De-risk Certification

Topic:

Leveraging Test and Simulation to De-risk Certification

Presenter:

Justin McKennon, EMA Principal Scientist II

Abstract:

Aircraft certification can be extraordinarily expensive and time consuming, specifically when considering the nuance of handling electromagnetic effects. Traditional approaches have been “test first, ask questions later” which from experience sets a program up for costly rework and schedule slips.

At EMA, we’ve been supporting aircraft certification programs through test, simulation, and consulting for over 40 years. By working on so many different programs and projects over the years, coupled with our industry leaders in these areas, EMA has obtained a deep level of insight that has been shown to greatly reduce the risk of non-compliances when it comes to certification.

In this webinar, we will share some valuable insights and approaches that will get you the data you need when you need it, without performing unnecessary test and analysis throughout the program. By following the adage “Simulate what you can, test what you have to” you will learn how EMA helps companies navigate certification by dispelling painful myths and outdated practices.
