EMA3D Connect
EMA is transforming electromagnetic simulation with machine learning (ML).
Building ML models and integrating them into traditional simulation workflows can be challenging. It requires not only technical expertise but also a deep understanding of the domain-specific requirements and the nuances of data handling. The newly established EMA3D Connect group bridges this gap by seamlessly integrating ML into electromagnetic simulation workflows. Through this, EMA3D Connect enhances simulation capabilities, allowing engineers to accelerate design processes, and even develop digital twins for existing designs.
ML allows simulations to run in seconds, compressing months of work into hours, enabling rapid iteration across thousands of designs in a single day. ML models can also allow fast and comprehensive assessments of new electromagnetic environments for existing products.
Key Scenarios
There are two different key scenarios where EMA3D Connect can support your business, design optimization and ML-based product models.
Design optimization:
- Submit designs to an ML algorithm for rapid analysis of EMI/EMC compliance.
- Generate optimized solutions by inputting requirements into the algorithm, which outputs designs that meet those criteria.
ML-based product models:
- Post-design, EMA3D Connect develops ML models for entire products, empowering non-exerts to evaluate the effects of various electromagnetic environments or threats on performance.
Execution Plan
EMA3D Connect takes the following steps to get results.
- Centralize data from multiple sources
- Build custom ETL pipelines to prepare data for ML model training
- Train AI/ML models using your organization’s data
- Deploy models to scalable environments for real-time predictions
- Gain insights and render digital twins from anywhere, on any platform
- Leverage a comprehensive framework, from data collection to ML model deployment and visualization
Packaging and Visualization
EMA3D Connect supports a few model deployment options, including docker containerization, model registry, and a hybrid cloud model.
Visualization is a strength of EMA3D Connect. The group can take results and create photorealistic visualizations. This makes it easier for non-experts to understand the electromagnetic environment. Visualization can be done either through ParaView or NVIDIA Omniverse. The video below shows the results of an ESD test on a PCB visualized using Omniverse.
